Reptile skulking down the street,
Creep to the bone.
Silver tongued and iron-lunged.
Step to me.
Saw her standing in the street light glow.
Silver hair turned red, I pull the killing blow.
She looked just like my mother, I was her favourite child.
Knock knockin' on the front of my door,
Escorts for me.
I'm pulled in to a questioning room,
'You want coffee or tea?'
Start laughing at all of my pleas,
Good and bad cop routine.
Now I'm walking through the courtroom doors.
Cameras and lights are flashing, I smile and wave hello.
I hope my mama see's this, I am her favourite child.
What I done,
Where it's from,
I don't know.
Where she is and how I sleep
it's unknown.
I am an animal,
I am a beast,
I am a cannibal,
Come and feed me.
I'm a free radical and that's why you're weak.
I am an animal.
Now I'm sunbathing near my cell window.
I hope you get this letter,
Love from your favourite child.

God these guy's rock. Had the other two albums, came to this late, but wow, such an album. Love the raw "live" sound, each song is heavy and groovy with the right amount of soul in it. Need to see these live. thehairybadger26

Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021

This just has some great vibes all around - from the energy of 56th Floor and Symphony of the ironic sympathy to the gentle, laid back Soul Keeper - it’s worth the time to listen to it all. potaytoes
